22/03/07 Report - Fox and Pheasant v Irish Champs 2B You could feel the crackle of electricty as the Irish Champs 2B descended on the Pox and Feasant for the first leg of the cup semi final. The town had been buzzing since the draw had been organised some months back at the possible clash of these two Behemoths of the Baize (google it you uneducated plant-life !) and here it was in all its finery. Read full report.
05/03/07 Report - Irish Club v Lady Haig I had spent the afternoon at the eye clinic having some tests on my vision. The rumour that it was the pool team who booked the appointment is a complete lie. Due to a major cock-up by the hospital they didn't inform me that part of the testing involved me having my pupils dilated. They remained the size of dinner plates for eight hours which made the bike ride to the Irish Club highly eventful (I wasn't allowed to drive). My vision was blurry and I was struggling to focus - god knows what the excuse was for the rest of the Irish Champs 2B as we met the Lady Haig yet again. Read full report.
23/02/07 Report - Thatched Cottage v Irish Club Arrving at the Thatched Cottage on Thursday the most burning question of the night was could The Reporter get his thumb out and actually win a frame seeing as he was on a run of four straight defeats. If you believe the rest of the team I had been giving it the large one that I was top of the averages a few weeks ago and king of the heap. Since then I've turned into the Barcelona of the Irish club, looking good on paper but getting beat. Read full report.
05/02/07 Report - Rising Sun v Racks Never let it be said that Im not a reporter who isnt prepared to get his hands dirty with lower league pool.

Hot foot from our victory over The Willow Tree, I arrived at the Rising Sun with the slagging off I had received all night for my performance still ringing in my ears. Luckily by the time I had sunk my first Guinness the ringing had subsided enough for Kevin to regal me with a tale of massiveness. He had wrestled the No. 1 spot from Steve and ground out a victory against Martin Smith in the first. Read full report.
05/02/07 Report - Willow Tree v Irish Club The Willow Tree arrived at the Irish club anchored in the lower reaches of the table and Id already made plans to get to another pub once it was over. So a comfortable victory with a few clearances would make a 9.30 escape seem reasonable. However the Willow Tree didn't read the script I had laid out for them and made us fight for a 7-5 win to keep us top of the heap. Read full report.
25/01/07 Presentation Night The Renegade Pool League Presentation Night will be 23rd March 2007 in the Fox & Pheasant. Please click here for the programme. Doors open 7:30pm.
20/01/07 Report - Irish Club v Windsor Wanderers

Billed as the battle of legends it looked like standing room only as people flooded into the Windsor ex-servicemans club for this epic title topping clash. Once inside we realised that the throng of people going in were actually heading for the bingo in the room next door and a sense of disappointment was revealed as we saw the usual suspects milling about at the bar. If you enjoyed the sensation of disappointment then you had come to the right place because this match was quite simply Keiron Dyer. Read full report.
